In Jesus, there’s always hope
Our hearts break when we see the devastating effects of extreme child poverty. This isn’t what God wants for his world.
But in Jesus, there’s always hope. And because of that, we don’t turn away.
We take our lead from the example of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10. Jesus calls us to open our eyes, feel the pain of those around us and let our hearts be moved to action.
This is what it means to move with compassion–saying ‘yes’ to Jesus’ invitation to bring practical help and the hope of Christ to those who need it most.

Here at Compassion we’re passionate about doing things with excellence, including the way we manage our finances. We work hard to ensure donations are used strategically, for the greatest benefit of children in poverty.
From our fundraising activities to our programme activities, we’re accountable for every penny we spend. Our field offices have both internal and external audits regularly and our own office here in the UK is audited externally each year. As a UK Charity and Limited Company, all our accounts are filed with Companies House and the Charity Commission.
OUR 2023/24 ANNUAL REPORT
As our 2023/2024 Annual Report shows, from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024, we received £52.6 million in income.
On 30 June 2024, 115,605 children were supported.
88.5% of donations were used for charitable activities.
468,592 encouraging messages of support were sent between children and their supporters.
HOW WE SPEND YOUR DONATIONS
Last year, 88.5% of our income was spent on charitable activities. 80.8% to directly benefit children in poverty and 7.7% for support costs.
CHILD, FAMILY AND PROJECT GIFTS
100% of child, family and project gifts go to the Compassion-supported child or young person. Our local project staff and church leaders will help choose a gift that will really make a difference to those receiving it.
